It’s time again for our annual Operation Christmas Child mercy ministry sponsored by our deacons in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse. Shoeboxes filled will basic necessities are provided to needy children around the world.

Shoeboxes will be available to pick up next Sunday, October 4 in the hallway outside the sanctuary. Instructions for filling are provided, and the shoeboxes are due back to church by Sunday November 8.

Church Spruce-up Day

Believe it or not, it is that time of year again to gather as a church family and spruce up our church facility and grounds for the fall season. We will meet at the church on Saturday, October 10 from 9 am to 2 pm. Most of the tasks will be outdoors, however, there will be some tasks indoors that can safely be accomplished with proper social distancing.

No skills are required and everyone is encouraged to come, even if only for a short period of time, as many hands make light work. Please see Deacon Greg Morrison with questions.

Congregational Meeting

For those able to attend the October 11 worship service in-person, please plan to stay after the worship service for a very brief congregational meeting. If you are a voting member in good standing and are able and willing to attend our in-person worship service, please plan to join us so that we can have a quorum for this important vote. For more information about the purpose ofd the meeting or if you have any other questions, please, reach out to the church office (click here). Thank you.

PCA Women's Conference

The PCA Women’s Conference is virtual this year, but the women of Good News Church are invited to gather together to watch part of the conference together on Saturday, October 17 from 9 am till 1 pm in Fellowship Hall. We will have a time of fellowship and discussion as we watch the speakers online. The title of the conference is “Hinged with the Church and Community" from the book of Ephesians. If you register for the conference, you will have access until December 16 to twelve keynote speakers from all over the country. We will pick a few to watch on October 17. To register and receive a group discount, please send Nan Hoeck a check for $17.46 made payable to her. Please include your phone number so that she can call you with a coupon code to register individually. Please let Nan know whether you plan to come on Oct. 17 or whether you plan to watch the speakers on your own. If you need Nan's address or have any other questions, please, contact the church office (click here).

Recognition Sunday

Our worship service on Sunday, October 18 will be extra special as the Reap family will join us as we will celebrate JR’s many years of faithful service to our church. We will do our best to fit as many people in the sanctuary with social distancing, and overflow seating will be in the Welcome Center and Fellowship Hall to view the service on Live-stream. We hope you all will join us!
